Rural goodtimes at Daylesford ChillOut Festival!
Yee-yah! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to share the love at the I’m Awesome, Thanks! booth at Chillout Carnival Day in Daylesford!
The Hug-a-random movement enjoyed much success, and even though we ran out of stickers by the afternoon (you folks really do love hugging randoms!) the free hugs continued well into the evening. We loved sharing your insights into the need for an all-inclusive social network to connect the queer community, which is why we’re so glad to be bringing I’m Awesome, Thanks to you.
Thanks to all the folks who bought conversation starters (we almost sold out of awkward harmonicas completely) to help support this community project. I'm Awesome Thanks had the pleasure of being interviewed by the lovely duo Emma & Em on Joy 94.9 - Generation Next.
As a lot of you already know, JOY 94.9 is an independent voice for the diverse lesbian and gay communities and is listened to by 216,000 people in Melbourne and more online. Generation Next is a weekly youth segment airing every monday 7-8 pm on Joy FM. 'Radio for the Youth of today, brought to you by the Youth of today. The latest in youth current affairs for those in the GLBTIQmunity'

Join us at Queer Country Pride - ChillOut Festival Daylesford! (March 11th)
Does everybody know what time it is? It’s Chillout time! It’s only a few short weeks until the ChillOut Queer Country Pride in Daylesford, Victoria. March 11th is carnival day, which means everyone who’s everyone in the rural scene will be out and about. The I’m Awesome Thanks team will once again be sharing our passion for connection by helping people to meet each other at ChillOut.
Stop by our big blue stall to learn more about free social networking and blogging for the queer community. Feel free to pick yourself up a fabulous conversation starter (in answer to the many, many requests – yes, the merch will be back! Badges, shirts (Intellectual Homosexual, Hi-5 if you’re Awesome, and we’ll be introducing our newest design, Free Hugs), and of course the immensely popular Awkward Harmonica). Finally, our personal favourite (and one of yours, by the sounds of it), we will once again be hosting Hug-A-Random to ensure everyone gets a chance to share their awesomeness.
So grab some buddies and some driving tunes, jump in the car and head on out to Daylesford on March 11th. We’ll see you at the ChillOut!
